Krista a.k.a. Pokey

I began woodworking in 2015 with the goal of building furniture for the apartment my companion and I were renting. Loving the look and feel of real wood furniture, but having the tight budget of a young couple meant I had to find another way because purchasing it simply wasn't an option. After taking my first woodworking class I was hooked and knew that I had to learn more. I joined a local maker space where I met a group of truly talented wood and metal workers that helped me blossom into the maker I am today.

Being "handy" most of my life I decided to take some of the skills I had accumulated and put them to work, documenting my progress as I went along. This blog is the culmination of that progress. I hope to inspire others and aid in their learning process through the journey of woodworking and DIY.
